Countryside at the seaside

A breathe of countryside air at the seaside… the up-country of the Côte d’Albâtre unveils its wonders with its clos-masures (typical Norman farm closed with trees), its manors and dovecotes mixing sandstone, flint stone, cob and half-timbering, its thatched cottage… And have a walk along the Veules, the smallest French river, leading you to Veules-les Roses, one of the most beautiful village of Normandy.

Eternal towns

From the medieval Rouen to the centre of Le Havre, listed among the UNESCO World Heritage, going through Elbeuf, a town specialised in cloth manufacturing and where you can admire a Circus-Theatre of the 19th century, Seine-Maritime gathers an immensely rich historical heritage.

History through the abbeys

Around the meandering lines of the Seine you can find beautiful wonders. In Saint-Wandrille, Saint-Martin-de-Boscherville and Jumièges, the abbeys keep the valley history. As a symbol of the past greatness of the river, the two towers of the Abbey of Jumièges, built ten centuries before, are still standing there proudly. « The most beautiful ruin of France », according to Victor Hugo, is still willing to tell its history.
